Orange, a company with a strong presence in the Provence region, has joined forces with Marseille-Provence 2013, European Capital of Culture. Its expertise as a “digital coach” will benefit millions of visitors. The company will also develop innovative services to promote the Capital of Culture programme. Orange will supply the official Marseille-Provence 2013 application, which will combine real-time information, augmented reality, geolocation and interactive functions.
This important partnership will ensure Orange’s employees in the region get behind the Marseille-Provence 2013 project by becoming ambassadors, contributing their expertise to the event and playing a key role in programme highlights and behind the scenes.
“For a few years now, Orange has begun implementing projects combining culture and technological innovation. By using digital technology to promote culture and developing new services for the public, the group hopes to support and increase the success of events in 2013, alongside other partners,” said Stéphane Richard, CEO of France Telecom Orange.
