The EDF Group is a leading global energy player, active in all major electricity businesses including generation, transmission and trading. It is also committed to developing energy efficiency and renewable energies, especially through the Energie Efficace (Efficient Energy) programme in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region. EDF is a key player in the water industry, with most of its regional production coming from hydraulic production facilities. The group has chosen to get involved in the project in an original way, by supporting artistic productions on the theme of water. This follows on its partnership with the World Water Forum, which will take place in Marseille in 2012.
EDF and Marseille-Provence 2013 will work together throughout the Capital of Culture year to support artistic creations with a water theme: La Cité Lacustre (Lakeside City), Cartographie de l’eau (Water Cartography) and much more.
