9 June, 10.30am - 1.30pm

Friday 7 June – Campagne Pastré
2pm – midnight: The Campagne Pastré and its equestrian centre will host the final TransHumance bivouac. Learn about what the Italian butteri do and visit the Villaggio Toscana which will have activities on their traditions. There will also be a concert with A ZonZo Band and a market where you can find local artisanal products and Tuscan specialities.

5pm: Activities with guides from the protected natural areas TransHumance will ride through and the Parc National des Calanques (in partnership with the Conseil Général des Bouches-du-Rhône and the Réseau Régional des Espaces Naturels).

7pm: The Maremma butteri will give a demonstration-show on the art of herding at the Centre équestre Pastré’s main arena.

10pm: Premier of the Observatoire du Bout du Monde: multi-media installation by the Théâtre du Centaure (films and performances on the TransHumance project).
Additional RTM lines will provide transport to and from the Campagne Pastré.

Saturday 8 June – Campagne Pastré
11am – 10pm: The Villaggio Toscana is open to the public. On the programme: activities on Tuscan traditions, music by A ZonZo Band and a market where you can find local artisanal products and Tuscan specialities.

2pm – 3pm and 5pm – 7pm: Activities with guides from the protected natural areas TransHumance will ride through and the Parc National des Calanques (in partnership with the Conseil Général des Bouches-du-Rhône and the Réseau Régional des Espaces Naturels).

11am – 2pm and 6pm – 8pm: Draught horse-draw carriages, Centaures and Dragons will ride around the Campagne Pastré.

3pm – 5pm: Homage to the ancestral art of the Italian butteri, Camargue gardians and sheepherders: demonstrations with foal and mare herds, Maremma cattle, and Crau sheep at the Centre équestre Pastré’s main arena.

> On 7 and 8 June, Ludovichi will prepare the best of the best of Tuscan cuisine with Mangiari Toscani.
> Additional RTM lines will provide transport to and from the Campagne Pastré.

Sunday 9 June – TransHumance crosses Marseille

10am – 1pm
Don’t miss the arrival of TransHumance in Marseille! Provençal and Italian herdsmen, with their herds of Camargue horses, teams of draught horses and herding dogs, will all cross Marseille. They will parade by the Rond-Point du Prado, the Canebière, Cours Lieutaud, Gare Saint-Charles, Vieux-Port, Fort Saint-Jean and Fort Saint-Nicolas before riding along the Corniche and finally stopping for a last Animalglyphe (choreographed movements of animals in the landscape photographed from the air) on the beaches of the Prado. Come out for this once-in-a-lifetime event: thousands of animals walking down the streets of Marseille.

Additional inter-urban transport (TER, Cartreize, and Marcouline) and RTM lines running.
