Picasso, Ceramist, and the Mediterranean

Aubagne

27 April - 13 October

Open every day from 9:30am to 7:30pm. From Monday to Friday the first entry period (9:30am – 10:15am) is reserved for groups. The last entry is at 6:30pm.

This exhibition will be held in the gallery created in the beautiful Chapelle des Pénitents Noirs. In the 1950s, Picasso explored Mediterranean civilisations using all kinds of media, including paintings, engravings, lithographs and ceramics. He put as much genius and energy into ceramics as he did into his sculptures and paintings. The exhibition will feature around 150 pieces that have never been shown together, and some that have never been shown at all. For more information (in French), please click here.

Picasso, Ceramist and the Mediterranean is one of the Grand Atelier du Midi‘s related exhibitions. For more information on the Grand Atelier du Midi, please click here. For tickets, please click here.
